Since I started to work at our restaurant, I’m always very busy.
I’m sharing a lot on my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook page, but is very long time I didn’t share a new blog post.
I’m trying the fastest way to show something new to each of you who likes my creations and my story.
I feel very lucky person, because I’m living my dream, It’s not simple but I’m taking my chance.
Cooking and baking are my passions and my new job, but the architecture and the furniture, the design solutions are things I keep for ever in my mind and in my hands. For years I worked with my husband to build some real and stunning family space. Yes, we are both Italian Architect!
When I found in my email a few days ago the proposal of partnership with Unruh Furniture, I was so happy and I felt very blessed.
Immediately I checked if It was a real company, and I found out a very nice and unbelievable story!
I was so excited to read how they simple start and how they are keep doing a very good job.
I want tell you and show you, how a dream can come true, and how It’s possible to turn a passion into a profession.
The same that’s happening to us. We started like Architects and now we’re cooking and baking and making happy a lot of customers by our authentique Italian Food.
That’s what did Sam Unruh in 2012, he followed his wife’s advice and started building furniture in their garage, in Kansas City.
Then They moved in different wherhouse and last they bought an old and abandoned church, the Westminister Congregational Church, which was built in 1904. They renovated all and moved in, on September 2016.
This building, you can see in the pictures, is very unique, and to see the solid hardwood to became the final piece of furniture in this very special building is truly a magic.
They exclusively use solid hardwoods for everything they make, which means it is heavy, sturdy, and durable enough to take on the tests of time, kids, applesauce, dinner parties, and homework.
The wood species they currently offer are Alder, White Oak, Maple, Cherry, Hickory, and Walnut. They carefully hand-select every board for each project, ensuring the final piece has perfect charm and personality.
After a vigorous sanding process, they stain their furniture by hand with a cloth, then spray on several coats of a high-end, eco-friendly, water-based lacquer.
Their topcoat finish is very durable, theirs doesn’t yellow over time. You can clean the furniture with soap and water.

I need to say you the true. I falled in love with the specials furniture they make. I would like to explain to you why!
I like the modern stile, It means that I really prefer the very simple and linear lines and shapes, the glossy surfaces.
Looking at a modern space, I immagine the functionality, practicality and simplicity.
Usually the simple furniture can also be used in a space where you want to add something that It doesn’t impose itself, but It’s very useful in that space.
