Arriva Li-Fi: useremo la luce per collegarci ad internet!

Il Wi-Fi potrebbe essere a breve rimpiazzato, o quantomeno affiancato, dal Li-Fi, la trasmissione dati con la luce, molto meno nociva delle onde elettromagnetiche che offre una velocità di trasferimento dati ben cento volte superiori all’attuale Wi-Fi,
Li-Fi è tecnicamente molto diverso da tutto ciò che abbiamo visto finora.
Li-Fi sta per Light Fidelity, termine coniato da Harald Haas, professore di comunicazioni mobile all’University of Edimburg, in Scozia. Il ricercatore studia da anni la trasmissione dati attraverso i bulbi di luce, e sostiene che questa modalità possa portare numerosi vantaggi. Haas è stato ospite di una puntata della famosa conferenza TED (evento dedicato alla scoperta di nuove idee nel campo tecnologico ma non solo), in cui ha introdotto il termine ed ha persino messo in mostra un prototipo del Li-Fi, mostrando come un segnale contenente un video possa arrivare da una lampada LED presso una cella solare montata in un notebook.

“Il Li-Fi è essenzialmente identico al Wi-Fi, eccetto per una piccola differenza: noi usiamo la luce generata dai LED che ci circondano per trasmettere i dati senza cavi, anziché rifarci alle onde radio. Queste non sono sufficienti, poiché il troppo utilizzo crea una rete affollata… ce ne rendiamo conto quando andiamo negli aeroporti e negli hotel, luoghi in cui tante persone vogliono accedere ad internet e questo è terribilmente lento.“

ha affermato. Haas, insieme ad un gruppo di studenti e ricercatori dell’University of Edimburg, ha fondato pureLiFi, una compagnia che si occupa dello sviluppo e della ricerca sulla suddetta tecnologia.

TED – il primo Lobster and Burger a Roma

Oggi vi parlo di un nuovo locale nel cuore di Roma: TED.

TED è il primo lobster and burger di Roma, si trova nel quartiere Prati in Via Terenzio,12.

Un locale giovane, innovativo e tutto da scoprire. Perfetto sia per un pranzo veloce di lavoro, per un’aperitivo ma anche per la cena.

Gli aperitivi sono sempre diversi e creativi grazie alla fantasia dello chef. Da accompagnare all’aperitivo io ho scelto un Blondie con Vodka, Vaniglia, Ananas, Lime e Sciroppo di Maracuja!

Il menu di TED propone una vasta scelta di burgers, tacos salads e molto altro e non può mancare ovviamente l’astice alla griglia o bollito con salsa bernese, patatine fritte e insalata di stagione! Servito ovviamente con le classiche pinze, salviette e il bavaglino!

Tra le novità, il TED LUNCH vi conquisterà. A soli 10€ potrete scegliere il vostro piatto preferito e avrete inclusi acqua minerale e caffè.

Dai che aspettate andate anche voi a provare TED e non ve ne pentirete, anzi ci tornerete ogni volta che sarete da quelle parti!

The Fisherman Burger: la risto-pescheria tra New England e Puglia

L’apertura di questo nuovo locale al centro di Roma conferma la recente passione capitolina per la cucina marinara del New England. Così, dopo TED Burger & Lobster, aperto qualche mese fa in zona Prati, arriva quasi sulle rive del Tevere The Fisherman Burger.
Il format è quello della risto-pescheria, di tradizione meridionale (a Bari da sempre una parte del porto vecchio è adibita a pescheria all’aperto e persino i bambini vengono iniziati alla cultura dei frutti di mare da consumare crudi): arredamento spartano ma accogliente da pub marinaro, molto legno, pennallate grigio azzurro alle pareti, pesci metallici che pendono dal soffitto, banco del pesce ben fornito e giornale di bordo che racconta il menù.
Si può scegliere se comprare il pesce e portarselo a casa, consumarlo ai tavolini del ristorante oppure optare per un’overdose di cruditè sportivamente accomodati al “bar del mare”.
Il plus del locale è sicuramente l’origine pugliese dei proprietari, che portano in menù, accanto a burger di pesce e lobster roll, piatti classici come impepata di cozze, spaghetti ai frutti di mare, canestrielli e pettini fritti.

Quello che mi convince di The Fisherman Burger è la garanzia di pesce freschissimo e la carta dei vini con etichette ben selezionate e offerte con un ricarico minimo.
