Assolutamente irresistibili, sofficissimi e preparati proprio come i veri pancakes americani, con il buttermilk. Da fare invidia anche a Paperino. Chi viaggia o ha viaggiato negli Stati Uniti lo sa che il sapore dei pancakes é tutta un’altra cosa, sono molto “fluffy” come dicono loro, e questo perché aggiungono buttermilk e un pochino di lievito per dolci. Un classico per servirli é lo sciroppo d’acero ma ci sono dei caffé/tavola calda dove preparano pancakes dolci o salati serviti con uova e bacon o con deliziose salse al cioccolato, miele e alla frutta…. da provare quella di lamponi.
In Italia so che non é cosa facile trovare il buttermilk ma ormai ben sapete che si puo’ tranquillamente preparare anche a casa proprio come scrive Nandini in questa ricetta.

The title of my post may baffle you, but you read it right. Cheat or instant buttermilk is for people like me who use it only for pancakes even though it is consumed a lot by Indians but in a Goan diet not so much. So the question arises, what do you do with the rest when you buy a carton?
